She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Loyd and Dorothy Grissom Loyd; and her grandparents, Lloyd, Ophelia Davis Grissom, James and Varnie Russell Loyd.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. P. B. "Junie" Simpson, Jr. of Pine Bluff; her children, Lauren Smith Lawson (John) of Pine Bluff, Alex Smith (Rachel) of Little Rock, Jennifer Simpson Weems (Chas) of Jackson and Reed Simpson (Tess) of Denver, Colorado; her brother Bill Loyd (Joyce) of Pleasant View, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Hallie Marie Lawson, Ella Taylor Lawson, Annie Hart Smith, Burch Weems, Cooper Simpson and Asher Simpson; and her nephews, Jeff Loyd of Clarksville and Steve Loyd of Franklin, Tennessee. She is also survived by cousins, friends and coworkers.
