He was predeceased by: his parents, David G. Rupe and Anna Belle Parks Rupe; and his siblings, Nettie Venable, Thelma Brown, Wilma Kimbrell, J. D. Rupe, Pete Rupe and Charley Rupe.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Lynch Rupe; his sons, Shannon Rupe (Rosie) of England, Rick Rupe (Tanya) of Rowell and Kevin Rupe (Jennifer) of Houma, Louisiana; and his sisters, Mary Meixner of Hot Springs, Carolyn Spainhouer Reynolds of Hot Springs and Sybil Cook of California. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
