He was predeceased by: his birth parents, Edward and Eunice Nicole McClendon; his adoptive parents, Robert Sanders and Reba Sanders; and his sister Betty Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Yolonda; his daughter Tammy Stewart; and his siblings, Bonnie Stacey, Jan Proctor, Martha Brown and Earl Sanders.
He expressed his devotion and care for all military personnel through his volunteer work with the non-profit organization, 3 Hots and a Cot, a charity that is all about helping, housing, feeding and meeting the needs of veterans.
