Esther will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Esther by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Esther is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Esther’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, V. O. Steele and Claudie Wilkinson Steele; and her brothers, J. R. Steele and Joe Steele. She is survived by: her children, Jerry Rowell of The Woodlands and Diwana Rowell Monk of Carrollton, Texas; her sister Darnell Causey of Liberty, Mississippi; and her close friend Homer McArthur of Pine Bluff. She is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors (807 S Cherry St, Pine Bluff, AR 71601). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (800 E 38th Ave, Pine Bluff, AR 71601).
