She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydia King and Adolphus, Sr. King; and her son Jerry McGehee Sr. (Deborah). She is survived by: her husband Robert James McGehee; her son Apostle Robert James McGehee, Jr. (Alice); her siblings, Maple King-McClendon, Baby Sister Vernell King, Gloria King-Williams, Nellie King-Munerlyn, Adolphus King, Jr., Curtis King, Matthew King, Lee Edward King (Anderson King), Ethel Jones, Dorothy King-Wickware and Albert King, Sr.; her children, Catha A. McGehee-Hicks, Alonzodora McGehee (Debra), Parnell McGehee (Cassandra), Yarnell McGehee-Dunning (Kenneth) and Aundrietta McGehee; and her aunts, Azzie McGehee, Ella McGehee, Linda Crumpton, Jessie Bell, Cynthia Jackson and Miyosha Reed. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Bailey Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (121 S 1st St, McGehee, AR 71654). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
