He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Leon and Johnnie Raymick Tidwell; his stepmother Christine Tidwell; his son Steven Benjamin Tidwell; and his brother Gary Ray Tidwell.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Watson Tidwell; his sons, Allen Tidwell (Ashley) and Jason Tidwell (Theresa); his siblings, Lynn Tidwell and Steve Tidwell; his grandchildren, Macee, Jase, Gage and Hudson; and his close friend Steve Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
