Though Joe may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joe touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Roberts and Irene Brown Roberts; his son Timothy Roberts; and his siblings, D. L. Roberts, Floyd Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, Lucille Cleveland and Gracie Brown.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Self of Pine Bluff, Angie Berry of Sacramento, California and Tony Roberts of Nice, California; and his brother Olan Roberts of Rison. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
