Josephine Adams Obituary
We announce the death of Josephine Adams (Pine Bluff, Arkansas), who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 96. Josephine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Johnson and Acie Adams; her grandfather Gabe Johnson; her husband Robert F. Adams, Sr.; her siblings, Acie Adams, Jr., Lawrence Adams, Elizabeth Adams Powell, Marilyn Washington, Carolyn Scott and Sullivant Scott; her stepbrother Abe Scott; and her grandson Marvin O'Bryant, Jr. (Josephine).
She is survived by: her children, Alice Faye, Robert F. Jr., Kenneth Ray, Paulette Jenene and Anthony Douglas; and her great grandchildren, Alice Cone (James), Robert, Jr. (Kamellow), Kenneth, Paulette Smith (Elgin) and Anthony (Rayshana). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three bonus grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two bonus great grandchildren and two bonus great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (4508 S Main St, Pine Bluff, AR 71601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
