He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Pettit Nelson and Mary Ellen Groome Nelson; and his siblings, Hal Nelson, Mary Lynn Webb, Nancy Pick and Betsy Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Nelson (Susan) of McKinney, Clay Nelson (Racheal) of Little Rock and Jamie Nelson of Benton; his sisters, Susie Grommet of Jonesboro and Jane Johnson (Mark) of Fayetteville; and his grandchildren, Brody Green, Madeline Nelson, Kinsley Nelson, Liam Nelson and Layton Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
