He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Tidwell and Leotha Tidwell; his son Bryan Tidwell; and his siblings, L. G. Tidwell, Virgil Tidwell, Georgia Woods, Henry Tidwell, Ruthie Hill, Ora Royster, Betty Byard, Ollie Tidwell and Freddy Tidwell.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Tidwell of Arkansas, Demetrice Tucker of Arkansas and Shellie Tidwell of Arkansas; his daughter-in-law Morticia Ceasar of Louisiana; his sisters, Essie Jenkins and Louise Randall (Jon); and his grandchildren, Tamara Tidwell Gee, Nakea Jenkins, LaKeisha DeCosta, Jarius Morris, Camry Garner Adams (Brandon), Bryan Tidwell Jr. (Lucretia), Jorden Warren and Sha'Kobe Tidwell. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
