She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Ivy Garrett and Margaret Craig Garrett; her husband Howard Raymond Houghton; and her son Howard Garrett Houghton. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Louise Miller and Martha Staton (Gary); her grandchildren, Gerald O. Miller Jr. (Janice), Joy Beth Miller Romage (Steve) and Robert Joseph Staton; her nephews, Steve Garrett, Bob Garrett and Tommy Powers; and her extended family, Missy Brodnax, Jane Colclasure, Judith, Joe Colclasure, Ray, Barbara Colclasure, Martha Coop and Karen Martin (family: Minnie Raspberry, Bill Albright). She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
