She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Cornelious and Hattie Bernice Grant; her husband Willie Heard; her son Billy Gene Atkinson; her grandson Tyler Cortez Rogers; and her brother James Edward Grant (Vicki Grant).
She is survived by: her children, Martha Marie Atkinson of Pine Bluff, Larry, Monica Atkinson of Clarksdale, Rodney, Enaida Anderson of Germany, Nancy Atkinson of Pine Bluff, Sherrita Atkinson of Pine Bluff and Corey Atkinson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and her siblings, Mary (Willie Johnson), Sam (Patricia Grant), Mamie Grant of Altheimer, Elizabeth (Robert Daniels) and Hattie (Noah Manuel). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
