He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosalee Forte and Merrill Forte; and his sister Betty Jean Scott. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Forte of Annapolis Royal; his sister Priscilla Forte of Hannibal, Missouri; his children, Dawn Rushing (Brian) of Raleigh, NC, Adam Walls of Pine Bluff, AR and Tiffany Walls of Oakland, CA; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braxton Rushing of Raleigh, NC, Autymn, Emilee Cook, Maximus and Harper Blackman (Barbie) of Toronto, Canada; and his nephews, Jeffery Scott of Henderson, NV and Mel Scott (Gailya) of Atlanta, GA.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines the family as that the service be "Private".

He was a representative of the American Cancer society.
