Michael Karr Mitchell, of Pine Bluff, AR, passed away on February 15, 2022. He was born to the late Melvin Karr Mitchell and Marian Ruth Vandenberg, on November 2, 1948, in Ogden, UT.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jana Vee Mitchell; sons James Karr (Billie) Mitchell of Green River, WY and Christopher (Korinne) Mitchell of Green River, WY; and Jonathan (Beth) Smith of Fairborn, OH; daughter Crishnia (Chad) Harsha of Green River, WY; brother Mark Mitchell of Huntsville, UT; sister Mary Ann (Verlon) Hart of Roy City, UT; half-brother Todd Mitchell of Grapeview, WA; grandchildren Laken Alyss (Alex Kurth) Mitchell of Victor, ID; Keegan Karr (Jessie) Mitchell of Green River, WY; Kamen Christopher Mitchell of Rock Springs, WY; Karlie (Zac) Tyler of Idaho Falls, ID; Anthony James Mitchell, of Rock Springs, WY; Jackson Miles Mitchell; Ashton Brice, Sydney Brice; Moriah Brice; Taryn Brice; Shay Harsha; Katie Harsha, all of Green River, WY; Nathan Smith; and Daniel Smith of Fairborn, OH; and his great-grandchildren Kyson Jay; Copelynn Maicy;, Huxley Karr; and Baby Mitchell due April 2022 all of Green River, WY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also proceeded in death by his grandparents James and Bertha Mae Mitchell; and Louis John and Lena Vanderberg; brother Marvin Alex Mitchell; sister Patty Ann Crumley; infant son Eric Jay Mitchell; half-brother William Karr Mitchell; and mother Kiku Duno Mitchell.

He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, UT and later attended Utah Skills Center North in cooperation with Weber State College. From May 1968 to May 1971, he volunteered to serve his country in Vietnam. His senior trip was to Southeast Asia where he commanded an U.S. Army LCM-8 (landing craft mechanized) with the 1099th Medium Boat Company. He was proud of his service to his country and proud to have been a combat veteran, but most of all he was proud to be an American.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Veteran's Best Friend, PO Box 329, Cabot, AR 72023. This is a non-profit organization where Veterans can receive a service dog or have their qualifying dog trained for certification at no cost.

Michael will be missed by so many.
