It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mike Whitener of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, who passed away on April 20, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Mae and Elnora Crowder Whitener. He is survived by: his wife Julia Ann Bolt Whitener; his sons, Samuel M. Whitener, Jr. (Renee) of Kingwood, TX, Mark A. Whitener of Clifton, NJ, Matthew E. Whitener (Penny) of White Hall and William "Bill" M. Whitener (Penny) of Joshua, TX; his grandchildren, Bryan Whitener, April Ockerman (Jason), Hannah Baugh (Justin), Megan Whitener and Morgan Whitener; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Bella Ockerman and Jaxson Baugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olive Branch Baptist Church, 5130 Bobo Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71603.
