He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hester and Iva Hester; his wife Kay Herrin Hester; and his siblings, Billy Hester, Frank Hester and Betty Jo Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Lea Watson (Scott), Robbie Mitchell (Field), Rob Hester (Mimi), Tracy Anderson and Kim Waters (Ben); his stepchildren, Howell Herrin, Daniel Herrin and Bill Herrin (Katherine); and his siblings, Wesley Hester (Beverly), Bobby Hester (Evelyn), Sarah Owens and Jewel Poole (Tom). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
