It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vertie Morgan of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, born in Warren, Arkansas, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wylie Kelley and Beatrice Johnson Kelley; her husband Loyd Morgan; her son Steve Phillips; her stepdaughter Cathy Morgan; and her siblings, Roy Lee Kelley, Charles Kelley and Annette Kelley.

She is survived by: her children, Kelley Morgan (Kaye Scallion) of Pine Bluff, Stanley Morgan (Vickie) of Pine Bluff and Michelle Martin (Don) of St. Augustine, Florida; and her stepchildren, Benny Morgan (Mary) of Camden and Karen. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren.

“To the Morgan family. I met Vertie at the senior center on 8th st here in Pine Bluff. She was a wonderful, happy, pleasant person. She also introduced me to her sons who did work for me. You have my deepest sympathy in the lost of dear Vertie. I am so Sorry to hear of her home going. May God give you strength and peace. Hazel Jacobs”
