He was predeceased by : his parents, Tedie Thomas Owens and Carrie Elizabeth Dockins Owens; his sons, Jimmy Owens and Larry Owens; his daughter-in-law Gloria Owens; and his siblings, Leamon Owens, James Owens, Faye Sherrill, Lora Belle Barnes, Gracie Jones, Muna Hollman, Molly and Polly Owens.

He is survived by : his former life partner Mary Katherine Whitfield; his wife Katherine Owens; his children, Kenny Owens (Pam) of Mountain Home and Kathie Grigg (Rickey) of Dolph; his siblings, Darrell Owens (Betty) of Batesville, Pauline Morehead (Mervela) of Yakima, Betty Owens of Franklin and Sally Gould (Bill) of Mountain View, Missouri; his grandchildren, Gayla Peoples (Ken), Angie Emerson (Brad), Crystal Owens, Brandon Owens (Alicia), Jeremy Grigg (Laiken), Clayton Grigg (Jennifer), Katie Owens, Seth Owens and Zach Ledwich (Lacey); his daughter-in-law Traci Owens of Wichita, Kansas; and his siblings-in-law, Bethel Owens of Oxford and Ellis Jones of Mountain Home. He is also survived by other relatives and many good friends.
