It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Nell Bates of Plainview, Arkansas, who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Allen Smith. She is survived by : her children, Sharon Burfield (Tony) of Plainview and Larry "Dewayne" Bates (Ginny) of Harlen, Georgia; and her brother Billy Charles Smith of Danville. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
