He was predeceased by : his father Royal H. Burress; and his brother Kenny Burress. He is survived by : his daughters, Missy McClain (David) of Newark and Sissy Ford of Batesville; his stepsons, Thomas Johnson of Cave City and Jacob Weaver of Cave City; his grandchildren, Courtney Robison (Dalton), Taylor Ford (Baylea), McKinley Fox (Phillip Pack), Dylan McClain (Megan), Kaylee Pearce (Ty), David Carter McClain, Addie McClain and Everleigh Weaver; and his great grandchildren, Harper Robison, Dash Pearce, Tessa Ford, Rue Pearce and Carson McClain. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
