It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruth (Smith) Brown of Pocahontas, Arkansas, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Erwin Smith and Edna Beatrice Smith (Vinson); and her siblings, Sue Martin, Jimmy Smith and Johnny Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Charles Stanley Brown; her children, Teresa Ann Earley (James) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Charles Keith Brown (Larry Lakin) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Amanda Snyder (Luke) of Pocahontas, Matthew Cox (Stephanie) of Salem, Jenni Smith (Allen) of Pocahontas and Jay Earley (Valerie) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; her great grandchildren, Erika Hills (Zac) of Pocahontas, Taylor Snyder (Bryan) of Pocahontas, Luci Reyes (Kaleb) of Pocahontas, Alex Smith (Hannah Mitchell) of Pocahontas, Julie Snyder of Pocahontas, Camden Smith of Pocahontas, Alli Smith of Salem, Addi Smith of Salem, Cooper Cox of Salem, Hoyt Smith of Salem, Brady Cox of Salem, Caydee Cox of Salem, Mady Grace Earley of Jonesboro and Jayda Earley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; her great great grandchildren, Hadley Kate Hills of Pocahontas and Stetson Lee Hills of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and her siblings, Louise Sudmeyer Conway of Benton, Shirley Smith of Russellville, Arkansas and Jerry Smith of Russellville, Arkansas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
