He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Smith and Ruby Skinner Smith; his son Nick Baltz; and his siblings, Nettie Bevills and Roland Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Smith; his children, Audrey Smith (Shane) of Pocahontas and Ashton Smith of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Steven Baltz, Bishop Percell, Jewelia Percell, Cooper Clark, Blaine Baltz, Ethan Baltz, Paula Baltz and Izabel Smith; and his sister Kitty Meridith of McCrory.
