He is survived by: his sons, Michael Yancy and Skip Yancy (Sharon); his grandchildren, Lorelei Yancy, Katosha Yancy, Marissa Yancy and Everett Yancy III; his great grandchildren, Dezare Smith, Izaiah Smith and Jazmin Smith; his great great grandchild Abel Seils; his brothers, Rex Yancy (Joyce) and Larry Yancy; and his cousins, JD Yancy, Hal Collier and Amanda Cox.
