James Darrell Alphin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Darrell Alphin (Pocahontas, Arkansas), who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Alphin and Pauline Taylor Alphin; his wife Reva Overman Alphin; and his siblings, William, Leon Alphin, Wanda Blackwell, Geneva Alphin and Betty Getson.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Alphin of Attica, Marty Smith (Theresa) of Quitman, AR and Kenny Smith of Ash Flat, AR; his grandchildren, Rachel Glade (Andrew) of Fayetteville, AR and Noah Smith (Jordan) of Bigelow, AR.; his great grandchildren, Maddux, Mason Glade, Griffin Walton, Hayes and Hadlea Smith; his siblings, Gerry Alphin (Sharon) of Attica, Randy Alphin (Donna) of Pocahontas and Diane Anis (Randy) of Pocahontas; his sister-in-law Tommie Jean Mann of Attica; his nephews, David, Dustin, Cody, Travis, Heath, Chad Alphin, Barkley Anis, Larry Higginbotham, Randy Getson and Randy Joe Anis; and his close friends, Mike, Mark, Tommy Ogden, Billy Sullinger, Casey Lewis, Kirk Lonidier, Jim Toney, Kenny Davis, Brad Phillips, Chad Chester, Johnny Kee, Bill Decker, Stan Honeycutt and Kenneth Walker. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives and special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel (2129 N Park St, Pocahontas, AR 72455). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
