He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ferguson and Ruby Rimer Ferguson; his sisters, Lois Kisling (Bob), Lola Douglas (WG) and Joan Smith (Ken); his great grandchild Willow River Ferguson; and his siblings' children, David Neill Turner, Denny Pope, Sonja Kisling and Melody Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Dawn Ferguson of Pocahontas; his children, Anthony Ferguson (Felicia) of North Carolina, Shawn Dickerson of Illinois and John Shelby Dickerson (Kiaya) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Melayna Rodriguez (Josh) of North Carolina, Jacob Ferguson (Emily) of North Carolina, Blake, Beckam and Ellie Dickerson of Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Madeline Winslow of North Carolina, Sofia and Annalee Rodriguez of North Carolina; and his siblings, Margie Espersen (Art) of Louisiana, Sunshine Pope (Bob) of Bono, Glendia Rowell (Lee) of Jonesboro, Vanessa Jenkins (Allen) of Iowa and Richard "Dick" Ferguson (Carol) of Mountain Home. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
