He was predeceased by: his parents, Dutch Phillips and Goldia Phillips; his wife Joyce Phillips; and his siblings, June Adams, Della Mae Phillips, Lou Jean Phillips, Wayne Phillips and James Phillips.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Wayne Phillips (Karen) of Otwell, Rhonda Mills (Terry Joe) of Valley View and Barry Phillips of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Chance Mills (Haley), Chelsea Ashlock (Jonathan), Jessica Lindsey (Shane), Cody Phillips (Kaitlin), Chad Phillips, Justin Phillips (Terrilynn), Chase Phillips Abby (Lauren) and Jodi Ash. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McDaniel Cemetery Pavilion.
