Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Velmar for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Singleton and Edna Mae Singleton (Dixon) of Jacksonville, Florida.; her husband Mossie J. Richmond Jr. of Wynne; her siblings, Winona Davis, Louise Harris, Bernard D. Singleton and Stephen B. Singleton III; and her son-in-law Antoine Drakeford of Chicago.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deryle L. Richmond and Reche A. Drakeford of College Station; her grandchild Alanna L. Drakeford; and her daughter Vanessa Jones. She is also survived by eight nieces, four nephews, and in-laws, along with close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.
