We announce the death of William Joseph Johnston of Pocahontas, Arkansas, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 82. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Johnston and Maye Tucker Snow; his brothers, Edward Johnston, Bobby Johnston and Ronnie Johnston; and his grandchildren, Colton Johnston and Ashley Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Johnston; his children, Jeffery Johnston (Denise), Jody Johnston (Karen) and Susan Francis (Dewayne); his grandchildren, Chris Johnston (Brittany), Craig Johnston (Erica), Cassie Johnston (Floyd), Clayton Herndon, Cory Herndon, Caleb Herndon, Markus Lamar (Keylee), Madisyn Hamilton (Steven), Trenton Francis (Bre) and Aarron Johnston (Tiffany); his great grandchildren, Braxton, Brycelyn, Max, Westin, Coy, Chelsea, AdiLynn, Wrenslie, Hudson, Jaxon, Evalee, Rylan, Aly, Anna, Atley, Garrett, Xaiver and Klaire; his brother Tommy Johnston (Debbie); his nieces, Lauren Johnston (Josh), Erin Johnston and Stacey Colman (Jason); and his sister-in-law Martha Johnston. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McNabb Funeral Home (2129 N Park St, Pocahontas, AR 72455). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel (2129 N Park St, Pocahontas, AR 72455).
