Leona Verda DeVore Obituary

We announce the death of Leona Verda DeVore of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, who passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 101. Leona will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Geter L. Williamson and Jewel A. Thompson; her husband John L. DeVore; her daughter Barbara Abbott; her grandson Paul; her son David Dodd; her grandson John Dodd; her son Sam Dodd; and her granddaughter Darlene Ann.

She is survived by: her siblings, Norma Steele and Frank Williamson. She is also survived by her family, including nine grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, thirty-four great-great-grandchildren.
