Lula leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lula’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lula will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Newport and Eula Newport; her husband Charles O. Thompson; her daughter Cathy Thompson O'Brien; and her siblings, Jim Newport, Max Newport and Berneice Herbert.
She is survived by: her children, Tish Aaserude, Christine Bryant, Linda Scott and Lance Lee. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Viney Grove Community Building in Prairie Grove, Arkansas (15209 W Battlefield Park Rd, Prairie Grove, AR 72753).
