He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Layne and Mary Ellen Redfearn Layne; and his brother Jimmy Layne (Shawnda Bruce). He is survived by: his wife Gayla Frances Layne; his children, Bill D. Layne (Erin), Clay Layne (Vava), Stacye Layne Stewart (Dustin) and Brad Drain; and his siblings, John Layne (Carol) and Martha Stout. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
