He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Barnett and Addie Mae Buie Earnest; his brothers, Junior Earnest, Allen Earnest and Buddy Earnest; his siblings-in-law, Arnold Baker and Wanda Hardin Earnest; and his siblings' children, Daniel Earnest, Gene Bailey, Kyle Ray and Ivy Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Earnest; his children, Mickey L. Earnest (Marie), Rickey L. Earnest (Kami Valance) and Rachel Earnest Cruz (Armando); his grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" Negron "Toh-Doh", Saphira Earnest "Gracie Girl", Alyvia Cruz "Rosebud", Rylie Cruz "Buttercup" and Memphis Michael Cruz "Pawpaw'; and his siblings, Gene Earnest (Louise), Marion Earnest (Sandy), Louise Baker and Mary Cupit (Kenneth). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
