Jimmie Dee Cornelius Obituary
Jimmie Dee Huskey Cornelius, 71, of the Nubbin Hill community in Prescott, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on August 21, 2026.
Jimmie was born June 30, 1955, in Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas, to James I. "Buck" Huskey and Lera Mae McCants. She grew up in Prescott and remained deeply rooted in the Nubbin Hill community throughout her life. She was known simply as Jimmie to most, but to her grandchildren and generations of neighborhood children, nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as "MiMi.". On August 2, 1974, Jimmie married Donald Ray (Jack) Cornelius, who preceded her in death.
Jimmie was a woman of deep Baptist faith. As a young person, she attended First Baptist Church in Prescott and later attended Missionary Grove Baptist Church in the Nubbin Hill community, where she will be laid to rest.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Cornelius "Jack"; her parents, James I. "Buck" Huskey and Lera Mae McCants; her sister, Martha Rose Huskey; and her brothers, Rothel Rhodes and Jerry Rhodes.
She is survived by her children, Jacob "Jake" Ray Cornelius (Jade) and Jesna Cornelius; her stepdaughter, Christi Cornelius-Sullivan; her grandchildren, Adam Cornelius, Aubree Vanderveer (Will), Alye Cornelius, Jack Cornelius, Koda Marlar, Raley Sullivan and Cally Sullivan; her brother, Donald Huskey (Angie) of Red Water, Texas; her sister, Brenda Thornton (Jeff) of Fort Pierce, Florida; her sister-in-law's, Betty Jo "BJ" Hampton (Donald) and Karen Rhodes. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends who loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott, Arkansas. Jimmie will be laid to rest at Missionary Grove Baptist Church in the Nubbin Hill community, beside her husband, Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026, in the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Pastor Doug Rhodes officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.
