He was predeceased by: his father J. R. Abel of Lexington. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Renee Salinas (Manny), Stephanie Hart of Texas and Ray Abel Jr. (Bubba); his stepson Jake Houchen of Proctor; and his stepsister Lisa Dawn. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers be sent to the visitation.
