He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie James and Bonnie James (Robinson); and his siblings, Alvie, Thomas, Charles, Fred and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Juanita James (Pike); and his son Kenneth James of Quitman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.
