She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Rife and Olive Rife (Zillhart); her husband Joseph E. Nelson; her granddaughter Miranda Homan; and her siblings, Kenney, Melvin, Glenn, Donald, Bill Rife and Margaret Kendall (Rife).
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonya Homan (Dwayne) of Ratcliff and Jill Gilmour of Freeport, Illinois; her grandchildren, Nicholas Nelson (Tracy) of Rockford and Hannah Stokes (Cameron) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Blake and Grant Nelson. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
