He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wells and Maudie Bernice Zeiger Wells; his wife Donna Wells; his son Tim Wells; his brother Doug Wells; and his sister-in-law Sherry Wells (Dennis Wells).
He is survived by: his son Waymon Wells of Ravenden Springs; his grandsons, Tyler Wells (Kristen) of Pocahontas, Trevor Wells (Katelynn) of Pocahontas and Levi Brown of Sedgwick; his great grandchild Norah Lea Wells; and his siblings, Danny Wells (Janet) of Imboden, Anthony Wells (Dana) of Ravenden Springs and Diane Bennett (Clinton) of Ravenden Springs.
