She was predeceased by: her father Harold William Heywood; her children, Rebecca Susan Finley, Phillip Scott Finley and Stuart Douglas Finley; and her half-sister Betsy Lane Meyer (Heywood).
She is survived by: her son Rex G. Finley II; and her grandchildren, Matthew Garret Finley, Erik Wolfgang Finley and Kristoff Gearhart Finley.
Barbara was proud of her contributions to the Delta Delta Delta collegiate sorority, US Power Squadrons and the students to whom she dedicated her professional life.
