He was predeceased by: his parents, LaRue Rush and Elna Brashear Rush. He is survived by: his wife Jeri Shriver Rush; his sons, Rick (Kathy Rush), Jeff (Ellie Rush) and Mike (Kristi Rush Gill); his grandchildren, Ian, Sean Rush, Brian and Danielle Gill; and his great grandchildren, Aramiez and Odyssey Rush.
