He was predeceased by: his parents, W. H. "Jack" Clifton and Lou Ellen Clifton; his grandson Hunter Clifton; and his siblings, Don, Dale of Vernon, C. W., Roy, Gretchen and Leona.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Clifton; his children, Ellen Marie King (Dale) of Garfield, William Edward Clifton (Pam) of Pea Ridge, LoAnn Ruth Thomas (Darrell) of Rogers and Cecil Clifton, Jr. (Terri) of Sheridan, Wyo.; and his brother Leonard Clifton (Ore) of Bend. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
