She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Ford and Nelle Nickel; her sisters, Nelle and Mary; her husband Phillip Hawkins; her children, Valerye (Bethesda, MD), Allyson of Normal, IL and Phillip of Rogers, AR; her grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Lauren and Alexander; her sister Judy Jordan of Norman, Oklahoma.; and her grandsons, Jesse and Alex.
