He is survived by: his wife Gwen Swan; his children, David Swan Jr. of Russell, IA, Darrin Swan (Gina) of Fairhope, AL, Tony Niblack (Camille) of Horseshoe Bay, TX, Michelle Dickerson (Ron) of Rogers, AR, Gwen Langeberg (Albert) of Postfalls, ID, Jennifer Swan of Spokane, WA and Minnie Dunn (Phillip) of Mount Pleasant, IA; his siblings, Robert Swan (Mary) of Union, OR, Richard Closser of Floris, IA, Geoffrey Swan of Helena, MT, Brad Swan of Newton, IA, William W. Bristol of Brownsville, TX, Patricia Swan of Newton, IA, Carol Kingery (Clifford "Buzz") of Newton, IA, Rena Bristol of Meigs, GA and Teresa Buck (Larry) of Burlington, IA; and his friend Mary Aikens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
