He was predeceased by: his parents, Erthel Vest and Mamie Rush Vest; his wife Kathleen Vest; his sons, Eldon Jr. Vest and Charles Vest; and his siblings, Emmett Vest, Ells Vest, Ruth Campbell and Ina Faye Vest.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Vest (Ramona) of Garfield, Gerald Vest (Carol) of Peculiar and Steve Vest (Donna) of Clinton; his stepchildren, Phillip Kendall of Rogers and Jessica Kohlman (Danny) of Rogers; and his brothers, J. W. Vest (Alice) of Melbourne and Kenneth Vest (Helen) of Melbourne. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and many good friends.
