She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kalcich and Mary Kovach Kalcich. She is survived by: her husband James; her sister Mary Kalcich; and her sons, James F. Hales (Pat Roaten Hales), Thomas E. Hales (Cathy Coggin Hales), John M. Hales (Deborah Reynolds Hales), William A. Hales (Karon Barrentine Hales), Robert J. Hales (Norma Scott Hales) and David C. Hales (Karen Meisel Hales). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
