She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Lee and Cliffie Marler Williams Hicks; her sons, Bobby Jay Wiber and Danny Joe "DJ" Carter; and her siblings, Linda Hicks and Bay Marler.
She is survived by: her husband Danny Douglas Carter; her daughter Kimberly Dawn Cates (Eddie Cates, Jr.) of Beebe; and her brother Dorman Marler. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
