He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe B. Salazar and Elbiria Salazar; and his siblings, Clorinda Tafoya, Sally Cisneros, Eleanor Salazar, Lucy Valdez and Mel Salazar.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Hingle (Elaine Hingle), Patriena Tilley (Rick Tilley) and Stephanie Verge (late Bryan Verge); and his grandchildren, Drew, Savannah, Tucker, Maranda, Emily, Abigail, Tabitha and Trey. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister.
