He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Hendrix Mires and Doris Jean Mires (Linthicum). He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Mires (Mulvania); his children, Benjamin Mires (Tory) of Rogers, AR and Emily Brooks (Neal) of Quincy, MO; and his grandchildren, Helen Rose, Hugh Thomas Brooks and Brooklyn Harp. He is also survived by one brother and 4 sisters.
