He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred "Pete" Walsh and Nina Vantreese Walsh; his wife Sandra Walsh; and his siblings, Dorice Shores and Bud Walsh (Ginger).

He is survived by: his children, Gerald and Linda Holtgrewe (Chris); his grandchildren, Sydney Burcham (Landon), Kaitlyn Hicks (John), Wyatt Holtgrewe and Hayden Holtgrewe; his brother Bill Walsh (Kathy); and his brother-in-law Eddie Shores. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
