He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shirley and Alma Moore Shirley (Franky); his wife Betty Jean Armstrong Shirley; and his sister Truda Shirley. He is survived by: his stepsons, Ken Francis of Fayetteville and David Francis of Rogers. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
