It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janis Kay Moreland of Roland, Arkansas, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin "Frank" Bivins and Flossie Bivins; her husband George Moreland; her daughter Tammy Lambert (Lee Lambert); and her siblings, Gail Bivins, Carolyn Studer and Rose Bradley.
She is survived by: her children, Beverley Lackey (Mark Lackey), Diane Phillips (Gordon Phillips), Marie Huie (Scott Huie) and Tim Moreland (Belle Moreland); and her siblings, Mary Ann Bixler, Fretia Bivins and Don Bivins. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home (8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR 72205). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Natural Steps Cemetery.
